In the Don’t Starve Together system, since the diagram is very clear, I will explain more about the social part, which is the main theme of the Don’t Starve Together as a multi-players game. First of all, I’m assuming the other systems, like character or buildings, are a single player situation, so if we add other players, how will they affect this player? If we can define that, we will know what kind of interaction is safe to the balance of the systems, and what are the destruction to the player experiencing, so that we can encourage or ban some actions between players.
Share resources and equipment. In the early game, the biggest problem is that players have to survive under three kinds of risk, monsters, hunger, and sin value, so if players can help each other, they will be more easier to survive in the early game. Also, they will have more efficiency, for they only focus on one thing, and they have built deeper relationships with other players. Therefore they will be responsible for other players, like cooking for them, which makes them find their position in a team and realize that they are useful.
Fight together. When facing the strong monster, teammates are very essential for the single player. Some players are afraid to fight, so they are uncomfortable if they are forced to fight. If another player can help him, he will have more friendly experiences.
Character skills. Different characters have different abilities, like some of them are suitable to fight and some of them are very good to explore, so if they can exploit their abilities to make more advantages to the team, they will find their own position in the whole game.
Revive. When One player dies, he must wait for other players to revive him, which will make them have deeper relationships.
